Advertising and sponsored listings

What may appear

The site may display paid advertisements and sponsored listings. At most 2 sponsored places may appear on a problem page.

How a sponsored listing is labelled

A paid card shows "Sponsored" and the line "Placement paid for by the service provider." A sponsored listing is not an endorsement by us.

What payment decides

Sponsored places are allocated by bidding, so payment decides which business holds a sponsored place and its position among the sponsored places. The order of all other listings is not affected by payment. Being first does not mean best.

Referral fees and reviews

If we ever earn a referral fee or commission, we will disclose it. We do not publish paid or fabricated reviews as independent ones.

Reporting

To report a misleading listing or ad, use the report form. See also our terms.
